Today Dogs Trust (formerly the NCDL) is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 17,000 dogs each year through its network of 20 rehoming centres in the UK and one in Dublin.

The C4WS winter night shelter operates each night from the beginning of November to the end of March each year. St Pancras Refugee Centre – SPaRC is based in King’s Cross but outreaches covers other parts of the surrounding area. Greenlight is a social justice initiative that sees a team of skilled volunteers go out onto the streets of London to provide minimal invasive medical care and a signposting service to the city’s rough sleepers.

The Camden Safer Streets Team is commissioned by the London Borough of Camden to end street homelessness and reduce street based anti-social behaviour. Routes Home is a new service to support non-UK nationals that sleep rough in London. Solace Women’s Aid is an innovative, grass-roots charity providing practical and emotional support to over 5,000 survivors of violence in London each year. It manages refuges across London, providing safe accommodation for women and children. Their refuges include the only specialist Irish Traveller refuge in the UK and one for women with complex needs.
Solace provides a range of services, including, advice and advocacy; counselling; Irish Traveller outreach; family and children’s services and North London Rape Crisis. The Poppy Project was set up in 2003 to provide high-quality support, advocacy and accommodation to trafficked women; women who have been brought into England or Wales to be exploited in some way. This could include but is not limited to sexual exploitation, labour exploitation, forced illicit activities and organ harvesting.
